About the Model:

Scale 1:64 (S scale) Circa 1950's

This building was commissioned by Steve D. of Wayzata, MN for his S scale Burlington Route Empire.  The Building is based on a prototype post office found in La Grange Illinois.   The finished model was produced by numerous CAD drawn, laser cut and etched acrylic parts before assembly.  The scale structure was created from limited historical and recent photos of the current structure.  The building measures almost 14" long and 8.5" tall.
